Simple-Freedom-Prepaid Cellular

The Simple-Freedom-Prepaid Cell Plan is very simple. It was a joint project with Alltel, Verizon and Wal-mart. The partnership has broken up and everyone is being moved to the Alltel U Prepaid.

15 Cents

Alltel Simple Freedom Wireless charges 15 Cents per minute no matter how many units you buy. This is a Drastic reduction from Simple Freedom rates as recent as Spring of 2006 when they were 25 cents per minute.

Simple Freedom Access

You will get 60 days access to the network with any minute purchase from $20 to $50. I believe if you put in two $20 cards at the same time you will only end up with 60 days of access. For $100 you will get 365 days of access and 665 minutes.

Alltel Simple Freedom

This is one of the Pay as you go arms of AllTel. All Tel has just merged with Cell-One. The Alltel/Walmart/Simple Freedom Wireless network has good coverage nationally and very good coverage is some areas. Coverage should improve with the addition of Cellular One.

Simple Freedom Cellular offers 4 fairly nice phones for $37 to $67.

Wal-mart has Simple Freedom Prepaid Cell phones

If the Alltel CDMA Network works in your area then you can get the Simple Freedom phones from the Walmart in your area. They are also available online through

Alltel U Prepaid NEW

Alltel has set up a new prepaid plan which is a much better value than Simple Freedom. Alltel U Wireless has the exact same coverage area (it works on the same Alltel network) as Simple Freedom wireless but U has more options.

Net10 is a better deal than Simple Freedom

Instead of the new lower Simple Freedom rate of 15 cents a minute Net10 offers 10 cents a minute all the time.

Check out the New Easy Minutes from Net10 and get rates as low as 7.5 cents a minute.
